Tall Woman
I am a tall, thin woman and this parka is a perfect fit (36). It is difficult to find a coat whose torso and arms are long enough and whose style is such that one isn’t left looking and feeling like an over-stuffed sausage. You will not find a warmer parka unless it is one that is worn on arctic expeditions. Lastly, when compared to its main Canadian brand competitor, Mackage’s style is in a league of its own.

Fantastic
Not only does this coat look amazing and garner lots of compliments from total strangers, it's incredibly warm. Even the brutal winter wind of Chicago can't make it through. The two-way zipper at the bottom of the outer layer can be difficult to get started and took some getting used to. It would be nice to have a drawstring around the hood but overall, I feel the coat is a great investment I'll have for multiple winters ahead.

Best / Warmest Jacket
Nothing to say other than you get what you pay for. I have multiple Goose and Arcteryx down- jackets, but in terms of warmth meeting style this is second to none.

Super warm and stylish
I bought the Edward for a trip to Paris in December. I wanted something stylish and warm. Moncler was overpriced and ubiquitous. Black Canada Goose fabric looks cheap and dull to me. The Mackage did the job. Warm and stylish. The fur was generally full and fluffy, though there was one small patch that had less fur. I'm athletic and 5'9'' and got the 36 which was perfect (normally I'm a 38). I prefer not to layer so I basically wore it with a dress shirt. If you want to layer more, you may want to get true to size.

Simply perfect
I just picked this up with the onset of another cold snap in NYC, and realizing that my Patagonia coat was no longer living up to my needs (dress up/down, deal with wet/dirty weather conditions, high insulation because I run cold).
I tend to over-analyze EVERYTHING to the point of having sunk too many hours and too many browser tabs and 4 store visits to land on this coat (considered premium all the way to the utilitarian- Canada Goose, Moncler, Moose Knuckles, North Face, Parajumpers, Pajar, LLBean, REI)
From a fit, function, style perspective the Edward is perfect. Did a 20min walk in 17F (20F with 5mph winds) today and I was WARM for a change.
Great windblocking and seals
Great insulated and lined hood
Great insulation
Great style and fit (can clearly be dressed up with a suit/trousers for my more formal work days or down with jeans and a sneakers on the weekend)
I own a Mackage wool coat too - and am happy to have them do the majority of my coats now.
I appreciate that this coat balances performance and style in a very subtle way (no overt badging or piping to scream out what brand you are wearing)
Store associates were great at helping too and really helped me compare v the Devon (which while a great coat just didn't work for my body type)

Favourite Jacket From My List
This is probably the most warmest jacket I own in terms of both functionality and style rolled into one package. At times it really is too hot. I purchased mine 2 years, ago and I noticed on the website now, they state the comfortable warmth rating to -25, and the one I purchased is -35 rated.
I was at Niagara Falls last week, where temperatures dipped between -25 to -30 during a snow storm, and I was toasty and comfortable. Possibly the rating change this year is due to many other reviewers stating how the jacket is too warm, as a result Mackage may have reduced the fillpower, to make it a bit more comfortable.
I enjoyed this jacket so much, that I happened to stumble on the Edward model in lambskin leather, at Harry Rosen and I snagged it right away as it was on sale. That jacket is just as warm, with the luxurious look of the leather.

Ripped sleeve
I noticed that the stitch came off. I am not sure when and how. I really love the jacket. It made me sweat in negative 7 c. I will have to get it replaced still....yes I want the same jacket.

Best (Expensive) Coat Ever
I spent a long time looking at and researching numerous insulated parkas and found this to be the best option in terms of function (without being too gadget or over-pocketed), style (fitted very well and nice details), warmth (without being a puffy boxy blob) and feel (love the lined hood--super luxe and warm, and the heavy-duty hardware).
As a design professional, I am very particular and the Edward parka checks all the boxes. I always have that like-new and special feeling when putting on this coat....and the glances from others when I'm walking about is a little extra.
But don't let that distract you; this coat is a true balance of form and function.
Must be said: if it weren't so pricey, that wouldn't be a bad thing.

At -25 you need this with a tee shirt
2nd year in this country, 1st year was horrible with 2 jackets from Canada Bird brand. Decided to try this as both girls in the house love their Mackage and they were stylish and warm throughout last winter( -25/-30 C temps).
Pros :
1/ Looks great, very urban jacket. I didn't miss 68th front/side pocket. It may be best looking jacket in -25 to -35 temp range.
2/ I dont like fur unless I really need it for functional reasons. This jacket is great as you can take out the hood. You can really dial in or out based on temp or your fashion statement.
3/ Great build quality. Cant find fault.
4/ Not a bomber size. Extra length helps if you want to stay outside for beyond 30 mins.
5/ Extremely functional, dont let the model look fool you. I wear it and walk 3.5 KM in -25 with a just a shirt under.
Cons:
1/ Cause of the length, its not the best if you want to sit wearing this jacket.
2/ In many ways its a nuclear option, too warm at times. I plan to invest in a -20-25 range bomber in the future.

Really warm coat and soft hood
Only thing I don't like about the jacket is the sharp shiny zippers as it makes it a bit challanging to "dress up" but otherwise its the coat everyone should have in Canadian winters

Very comfortable!
I love the Mackage brand and their products. I have a number of Mackage products and the Edward jacket is by far my favourite. Very comfortable, lots of pockets to hold my belongings without making me feel like I’m swimming in an oversized winter jacket. With the cold weather and snow coming, I’m glad I have my Mackage Edward jacket to keep me warm and stylish.

Beautiful parka! Can’t say for its construction.
I bought this jacket a while ago. Upon receiving it, the fur trim was completely crushed and flat. The hood stitched felt uneven, creating a totally awkward shape. The logo on the hood is maligned as well. Under the arm feels a little bit tight. The whole overall construction doesn’t feel great.
On a good note, the jacket does look stylish.

Inconsistent fur
I purchased this jacket approximately 2 years ago and the fur is significantly less fluffy and full in comparison to the photos. I would expect Mackage to honor that and offer to replace the fur and the have not.

Beautiful Jacket- bad price/quality ratio
The jacket is gorgeous and is indeed very hot. However, there jacket teared after just 3 months of use. I am claiming this for repair but I am highly disappointed as this means I won’t have my jacket for the coldest months of winter. Not satisfactory for a jacket at 1400$

Fabric rips easily
Mackage Edward Men's Down coat $1300 - the jacket is super warm but the material they use for the outer shell is extremely thin and the arm has split open in under one year of very limited use. Even worse, they refuse to honor their lifetime guarantee. If they did, the guarantee is still useless because they make the consumer pay for shipping and then wait for 6 weeks in the middle of winter. My $129 Lands End parka has been through rigorous athletic conditions and still in perfect shape after 5 years, next time I will buy 10 of them instead of 1 Makage.

Ripped and shows wear and tear very quickly
The cuffs are already worn out from using the pockets on the jacket, the zipper on the hood attachment broke and ripped the mesh, very disappointed.
